History

Lansdown Veterinary Services Ltd is a long established Stroud Practice which celebrated its first half century in the year 2000. The practice comprises six veterinary surgeons, who are assisted by a total of thirty support staff. The practice is centred around The Clockhouse Veterinary Hospital in Stroud.

A Veterinary Hospital is a veterinary practice with a great deal more. As a Veterinary Hospital, we are inspected regularly by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. This is your guarantee that your Veterinary Hospital meets the highest standards for veterinary premises in the UK. One of only three hospitals in Gloucestershire we offer a full range of facilities not always available elsewhere. As a valued client we will ensure that our veterinary surgeons have the backing of all the facilities of one of Britain's Veterinary Hospitals whenever the need arises.

We have also been inspected and received certification as a British Small Animal

Veterinary Association (BSAVA) Standard Practice, British Veterinary Hospitals Association and Investors in People.

Our aim is to be able to offer the very best standard of care to all our clients, with a policy of continual retraining of all our vets, nurses and support staff, as well as continued modernisation of our equipment.

We make every effort to live up to our practice mission statement – We are fully committed to our clients, their animals, our staff and the partners to deliver happiness, satisfaction and recognition through excellence.

We provide a full 24 hour service every day of the year. All emergency calls are taken at the Veterinary Hospital, there is one vet on call and one nurse on duty at all times. All in patients receive full 24 hour nursing, as would be expected at any quality hospital. The hospital is never left unattended.
